INARI is an interdisciplinary design studio working across water, land and materiality – yachts, interiors and objects. Milan-based with a global outlook, the name of the studio echoes in a lake to the far north and a deity that refuses a single form: two natures held together, one that measures and one that listens, in turn, and the space between them. Attuned to how life will find its form within a space, INARI is a way of seeing before it is a way of making. We read a place, a person, the elements that will meet them, a material chosen for how it will change in time, and let form follow. It is a vision of the future, drawn and lived in the present. Here sophistication is quiet: it trusts light, proportion, touch and the grain of things to speak. What emerges is restraint, tinged with a fascination for the unknown. Porous and evolutionary, the studio stays open to material research and to hands beyond its own; curated contamination melds disciplines, materials and instincts, to create a distinctive sense of eclectic eloquence.
